The saying goes “It’s not work if you love it” – I can attest to this. I was fascinated with the Real Estate industry at a young age, always being drawn to the art of deal-making and the appeal of being a successful business owner. It became especially clear when at the end of an emergency appendectomy in my high school senior year, I asked to immediately be taken to my hospital room so I could catch the latest episode of The Apprentice. Although at that time I felt that real estate held special significance for me, it wouldn’t fully manifest until years later.
In college at Western Kentucky University, I chose a major in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing. After college I spent seven years in the community banking sector, where I found success but not the sense of satisfaction I was after. Next I joined a healthcare start-up, where I worked in their marketing division for two years. Still, something was not connecting for me. Then, while on a trip with my beautiful wife and two dogs to Red River Gorge, sitting on the front porch of a vacation cabin, I realized that the dreams of my youth were still resonating with my adult self. It was there that I made the decision to start my real estate career.
I started out as a solo agent at Keller Williams Louisville East, and in my first year I achieved Rookie of the Year and the highest volume of any first-year agent in KWLE brokerage history. While hustling to establish myself as a reputable agent, I also focused on growing my company and creating my brand – White Picket Real Estate. My vision became to have the largest and most innovative boutique brand in Kentucky. To best facilitate this growth and foster innovation, I eventually made the choice to move to EXP Realty.
Ultimately, my passion was to build a brand that is recognized for more than just high volume. I wanted to build the best boutique brokerage in Louisville - this is why I chose to leave EXP Realty, and go independent to form White Picket Real Estate. My goal is for White Picket Real Estate to be synonymous with helping people have the best home buying and selling experience possible. Even more importantly, it’s my desire to impact our community by helping those who have struggled without or suffered the loss of “home.” That’s why White Picket has partnered with local charities like Coalition for the Homeless, whose mission it is to help prevent and end homelessness in Kentucky. With every single transaction White Picket closes, we donate a percentage of our commission to a local charity, which means every time you choose White Picket to represent you in your home purchase or sale, you too are #helpinghomehappen for those in our community who are in need.
I absolutely love what I do, and I’m proud to represent White Picket Real Estate and work with a team of high-caliber people. When I’m not selling real estate, I love spending time with my amazing wife Olivia and the light of my life, my daughter Harper, and my son Hayes. I also love to golf at Big Spring, I’m a rabid college basketball fan, and like to think of myself as an amateur wine snob.
